After sheer shoes, it’s sheer skirts that are working their way up the prêt runway trends this season. Though the sheer & layered maxi skirt trend (worn over a shorter opaque skirt/shorts) was showcased as a part of Spring 2011, it’s gaining ground now with the likes of Katy Perry and Olivia Palermo who have taken it mainstream.
Transparent shoes are “clearly” the biggest trend to hit the shoe runways this season. Designers across the globe have displayed numerous peek-a-boo elements making it one of the most coveted style for Spring-Summer 2012. Dolce & Gabbana, Phillip Lim, Manish Arora, Mathew Williamson and Christian Louboutin, to name a few, have used elements like soft Vinyl/PVC to create these beauties. This is an interesting trend this summer as long as you’re in an air-conditioned environment and not letting your feet sweat it out in the heat.
